Maddy and Damo’s wedding day is a really good example of why I love intimate weddings!
They didn’t need a huge venue, a 100-person guest list or a full-day traditional wedding timeline to make their day feel special.
We started the day at The Calile, with a slow morning of getting ready and hanging out with the kids. I love the beautiful textures of the Calile. Their service and attention to detail makes it so easy having little kids coming along for the morning!
From The Calile, we headed into Brisbane City for Maddy and Damo's Registry ceremony. There wasn't a huge production around it. Just a really lovely, intimate moment where they got to officially become husband and wife in front of their family and friends.
Once they were married, we took some time to wander around the city and take photos. Maddy and Damo both loved that classic European and flash vibe, which is super popular at the moment. We wanted a really nice mix of formal posed shots, with relaxed candid moments where they’re just soaking in the fact that they’re married!
Then it was time to celebrate. Maddy and Damo finished their day with cocktails, food and their favourite people at Howard Smith Wharves.
No huge formal reception, and definitely no complicated timeline or stress. Just a really good afternoon and evening celebrating love!
